Charm of Ryukyu Glass Making Experience
At Genkawa Genkichi, visitors can experience Ryukyu glass making by selecting their favorite items from a selection of six types. The items include rock glasses, beer glasses, tumblers, flatware, and other practical items. Prices are reasonable, starting at 2,200 yen, and handles and colors can be added as options. Craftsmen provide careful support, so even first-timers can tackle the project with ease. Finished pieces are later mailed or picked up directly at the workshop.

The charm of Suikara that I felt when I visited
I experienced making a flat dish, and the craftsman kindly taught me how to do it, so even I managed to complete it even though I was clumsy! The process was difficult because the surface of the flat dish had to be flattened. I was fascinated by the beautiful and fashionable patterned glass in the souvenir corner. The glass I made will be delivered at a later date! I took them to the beach and took some pictures!
