A New Animal Joins the Family! The "Thrill of Up-Close Encounters with Animals" Just Got Even Better!

➀ Flemish Giant Rabbit Petting & Feeding Experience

The "Flemish Giant," considered one of the world's largest rabbit breeds, is joining our family. Not only will you be able to observe its impressive size and gentle, friendly personality up close, but we're also launching a feeding experience event at the same time.
In addition, six breeds of large rabbits—the “Checked Giant,” “English Lop,” “Standard Rex,” “Harlequin,” and “Triant”—have joined the family. We invite you to enjoy a special experience that offers both surprise and comfort.

➁ "Chipmunks" have made their debut in the tetote area of the Fureai Plaza! Come see their adorable faces and try feeding them!

The “Tetote Interaction Plaza”—a popular spot known for its close encounters with animals—is welcoming a new addition: lively and adorable “striped squirrels.” Not only can you watch their cute antics as they dart about right before your eyes, but you can also enjoy a special feeding experience.

➂ 90 new species of marine life have been added to the Uchinaa Grand Aquarium!

The “Uchinaa Grand Aquarium,” where various marine creatures from the waters off Okinawa migrate, will welcome a new addition of approximately 90 species and 1,600 vibrant fish. This expansion builds on previous exhibits to create an even more beautiful and dynamic underwater world—one that makes visitors feel as if they’ve actually dived into the real seas of Okinawa.

➀ Experience Feeding Large Dogs

We’re now offering the long-awaited feeding experience with our currently very popular large dogs. You can make eye contact with these gentle, intelligent dogs while feeding them treats directly—a valuable summer experience even for young children.

➁ Kinkajou Interaction Event

We’re hosting an interaction event featuring the “kinkajou,” known for its adorable expressions. Encountering this rare animal—which you don’t often get to interact with—is the perfect inspiration for a summer vacation research project.

➂ Barn Owl Flight & Feeding Experience

In addition to the “Flight Show,” where barn owls soar gracefully and powerfully right before your eyes, we offer a program where you can feed the birds yourself. This experience, which allows you to witness the birds’ intelligence and the beauty of their feathers up close, is sure to spark your intellectual curiosity.

④ Piranha Feeding Event

About the DMM Kariyushi Aquarium

On May 25, 2020, we opened the “DMM Kariyushi Aquarium” in Tomigusuku City, Okinawa Prefecture. Based on the concept of “providing heart-stirring, up-close encounters with creatures and extraordinary, fantastical experiences,” this new type of entertainment aquarium not only showcases a variety of marine life, flora, and fauna—primarily from the Okinawa region—but also offers multiple hands-on programs, such as animal feeding sessions.
