This is the view you can see when you turn at the T-junction intersection before entering the Kouri Bridge. This is the first place you want to photograph on Kouri Island. You can take pictures from inside the car, so passenger seat passengers, you're up!

Enter the Tsumesho parking lot in front of the Kouri Bridge. From here, you can see the Kouri Bridge and Kouri Island beyond. This is a popular spot for taking pictures.

Drive along the 2km-long Kouri Ohashi Bridge. Enjoy the spectacular view of the emerald green ocean as you drive to Kouri Island. Enjoy the sensation of driving on the sea. Many people point their cameras at the ocean from the passenger seat. This is one of the best driving spots in Okinawa.

Heart Rock" is a classic sightseeing spot on Kouri Island. If you look closely, you can see the heart-shaped rock formed by wave erosion. It is visited not only by couples and female tourists, but also by families and various other visitors. It takes about 5 minutes on foot from the pay parking lot to the spot. At the spot, you will probably be satisfied with 20 to 30 minutes to view the ocean and take pictures. There are drinks and ice cream available in the parking lot area, as well as restrooms.

Roadside Station Sorahashi is on the left just after crossing the Kouri Bridge. You may have passed by it on your way to Heart Rock, but we are back. You can find souvenirs unique to northern Okinawa and enjoy local specialties, fruits, and sweets depending on the season. There are also several restaurants!

The ocean looks bluer around noon due to the reflection of the sun. It is recommended to put your feet up and enjoy the ocean, or just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. If you park at Michi no Eki Sorahashi, you can walk directly to the beach. Be flexible with your schedule if you plan to swim in the summer or have a meal in between in this area.

A little-known and almost passed-over place. The Cave of Beginning (Chigunu Beach) is a hidden power spot on Kouri Island. It is said to be a mysterious cave that is deeply related to Okinawan mythology. Littering of garbage is absolutely prohibited!

There are many popular lunch restaurants on Kouri Island. It is a good idea to do some research and decide in advance! Nishikiya" for sea urchin and seafood, "L LOTA" for cafe lunch in a stylish atmosphere, and "RICE BOWL FACTORY" for taco rice near Kouri Beach. You can also eat inside Sorahashi. (Prices vary greatly depending on the restaurant you use.)

Kouri Ocean Tower is the symbolic observatory of Kouri Island. From the observatory, you can see the Kouri Ohashi Bridge and the surrounding ocean, and on a clear day, you can even see the remote islands in the distance. The facility has a cafe and souvenir store. We chose this time around noon because we wanted visitors to see the beautiful ocean.
