A beautiful cottage with red-tiled roofs that blends seamlessly into the Ryukyu landscape

"Tabi no Teien Okinawa Nakijin" is a cottage in the style of a traditional Ryukyu farmhouse with a red-tiled roof, nestled in the quiet hamlet of Imadomari in Nakijin Village. Its exterior blends harmoniously with the surrounding unspoiled landscape, evoking a sense of peace and comfort—as if you’ve returned to your grandmother’s home from days gone by. All 10 cottages on the property are detached, allowing you to enjoy a private island getaway without worrying about being seen by other guests.

Cozy guest rooms filled with the warmth of Ryukyu tatami mats and wood

The guest rooms boast an area of approximately 58 square meters and are available for exclusive use of the entire building, accommodating up to six guests. The rooms are furnished with Ryukyu-style tatami mats, and the warm texture of the wooden ceilings and pillars creates a serene atmosphere. The Japanese-style room and dining area flow seamlessly into one another, creating a design where families and friends can spend time together comfortably. Under the red-tiled roof, you can enjoy an island getaway where you’ll lose track of time. Apparently, all 10 cottages are built to the same design.

There were a deck of playing cards and a set of Othello in the closet in my room, so I played them during my free time!

My favorite time was when I would open the window, feel the tropical breeze, and gaze out at the view.

In addition, each building is equipped with a washing machine and clothes dryer, providing convenient amenities for beach trips and extended stays. Furthermore, outdoor BBQ equipment is available for rent, so you can easily enjoy a barbecue right in your own backyard.
