View Details"Rooftop BBQ," a casual BBQ and camping cuisine experience where you can enjoy a meal without bringing anything—located at "Chura SUN Beach" in the Toyosaki area of southern Okinawa Island—will open on April 26, 2025.
With its emerald-green sea and white-sand beaches stretching out before you, Chura SUN Beach is a popular resort area that bustles with tourists and locals year-round.
Taking full advantage of its prime location, “Rooftop BBQ” offers a “beachside outdoor lounge” where food, nature, and time all come together to create a special experience, based on the concept of “a BBQ & day camp where you can enjoy yourself without bringing a thing.”
Set against the backdrop of Chura SUN Beach, a new tourism and community hub is being established to “turn Okinawa’s charms into experiences.”
Features of "Rooftop BBQ"
"Rooftop BBQ" will open on the second floor of the management building at Chura SUN Beach.
The first floor features a convenience store that’s convenient for tourists and beachgoers alike, offering tropical-style drinks and light snacks.
The second floor features an open-air BBQ area with a view of the ocean. On the rooftop, where you can feel the sea breeze, we’ve prepared a variety of spaces, including a pizza oven, a bonfire area, and group seating. You’re also welcome to bring in items purchased on the first floor to enjoy here.

With a lineup of popular dishes—such as freshly cooked garlic rice, ajillo, and beer can chicken—all made using a Mess Tin, anyone can easily experience the joy of “waiting for the fire to get going.”

The facility also features a "campfire lounge area" bathed in the flickering glow of the flames.

If you're coming by car
It’s about a 15-minute drive south from Naha Airport via the Oroku Bypass. If you’re taking the expressway, it’s about a 10-minute drive from the Nakachi Interchange.
If you're coming by bus
[From Naha Airport] From the bus stop on the 1st floor of Naha Airport, take the No. 95 Airport Ashibinaa Line bus (bound for E-AUS Okinawa Toyosaki). Get off at the “E-AUS Okinawa Toyosaki” bus stop, walk through E-AUS Okinawa Toyosaki, and continue on foot for 5 minutes.
There is also direct access from the Senaga Island Hotel Umikaji Terrace.

After getting off at the “Michi-no-Eki Toyosaki” bus stop, walk west for 8 minutes.
[For those using the Tomigusuku City bus]: Get off at the “Toyosaki Chura SUN Beach Entrance” stop, then walk 3 minutes west.
