Yonago Ware Studio Shisa Garden/Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture Shocking! Giant Shisa objects of individuality

If you come to Ishigaki Island, you should definitely stop by "Yonago Yaki Kobo Shisa Garden". I have been curious about it since before I went to Ishigaki Island.

Huge Shisa are lined up in a row in the large garden, and the harmony of the objects with the nature in the garden is breathtaking. Even small children will enjoy this place (I don't think they will cry)! You can't help but want to take pictures of them.

So I went there! The store sells many Yonago Yaki Shisa, which are often seen in souvenir stores in the prefecture, and there is also a hands-on corner!

Admission to the large garden lined with objects is free for everyone! You can drive straight in.

Super unique shisa and objets d'art

You can drive in front of this object! Another tourist took this picture. I think it is about 7 or 8 meters high. I thought it was bigger than what I saw in a magazine.

I have not counted them, but there seem to be close to 100 of them, from the smallest to the largest!

There are also objects that look like robots.

Review of Okibara

I went there because I had seen glimpses of it on the Internet and in magazines, but honestly, I thought it only had the main objects (because I hadn't done my research). But I was just amazed at the size of the garden and the number of objects.

If you just want to look, you can see most of it in about 15 minutes. We were having so much fun that we started taking pictures and I think we were there for about 40 minutes, but we wanted to stay longer. We would have liked to stay longer, but we had other things on our schedule, so we ended the tour halfway through.

Couples, families, friends, or just one person, everyone is sure to enjoy this event. You are also free to visit the Yonago pottery studio. Shisa are also available for sale. You can buy them at a nearby souvenir store, but if you are so inclined, buy a Yonago Yaki Shisa at the Yonago Yaki Studio! We also bought one here!
