Kokusai Street is the heart of Okinawa tourism. Located right in the middle of it all, “Hotel JAL City Naha” boasts a prime location where you can fully enjoy sightseeing, dining, and shopping. Surrounded by quintessentially Okinawan designs such as Bingata dyeing and Ryukyu glass, the hotel offers a resort-like atmosphere while balancing comfort and convenience. In particular, the high quality of the breakfast and dinner, as well as the comfort of the “J Premium Twin Room,” continue to captivate many guests.

The “Bingata Art” you encounter at the entrance marks the beginning of an extraordinary experience

One of the distinctive features of the “JAL City Naha Hotel” is the vibrant Bingata illustrations at the entrance, which welcome guests. Bingata, a traditional Okinawan dyeing technique, features designs that evoke the vivid colors and warmth characteristic of the tropics.

From the entrance to the lobby and the elevator hall, the building is filled with items that reflect the unique character of Okinawa.

The charm of the “Hotel JAL City Naha” lies in the fact that the moment you step inside, that exhilarating feeling of “being at a tourist destination” instantly takes hold. There are plenty of photo-worthy spots, and you’ll find yourself instinctively reaching for your camera.

Even the room key card features a Bingata illustration! I think it's probably the cutest key card in all of Okinawa!

A blend of restful sleep and the essence of Okinawa
"J Premium Twin Room"

I stayed in the “J Premium Twin Room,” located on the top three floors of the hotel—floors 12 through 14. Though compact at 23–25 square meters, the comfortable room features a Simmons bed that helps soothe the fatigue of travel.

Next to the bed is a Nespresso machine and a cup made of Okinawan yachimun (pottery). Just brewing a cup of coffee evokes a real sense of travel. Okinawan fruit juices and sweets are also provided.

Loungewear made from soft fabrics is comfortable to wear, so you can relax even more in your room. I personally love that it’s a two-piece set!

Okinawan thoughtfulness is reflected even in the amenities

The amenities exclusive to the J Premium Rooms are from “RyuSpa,” a cosmetics brand originating in Okinawa. The bath amenities, with their tropical scent, create a sense of comfort that makes you feel as if you’re at a spa. The fact that even the soaps are sourced from Okinawa is a big plus for women who love to travel and those who enjoy aromatherapy!

I’m a big fan of RyuSpa products for my daily bath routine, so this gives me even more peace of mind.

The bathroom is a prefabricated unit. But since it's spacious, it didn't feel cramped.

“I love that I can choose my main dish!
A dinner buffet brimming with luxury

There is only one restaurant at the “Hotel JAL City Naha.” It features a spacious and relaxed interior. Private rooms are available at no extra charge, and the restaurant offers complimentary anniversary plates, making it the perfect choice for celebrating special occasions. It’s the ideal setting for creating a “slightly special evening” with family or a loved one.

Available exclusively from Thursday through Sunday, the “Select Dinner Buffet” features a buffet where you can enjoy as much as you like, plus one main dish of your choice. The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, ranging from Okinawan home-style cuisine to Western-style fare, all carefully prepared.

In addition, the selection of main dishes features dishes made with seasonal ingredients such as meat and fish, adding a special touch.

After enjoying the main course and the buffet, it’s time for a proper dessert. There are four flavors of Blue Seal ice cream, and you can eat as much as you want! My favorite cake is the brownie ♡

A "Ma~-san" kind of satisfaction right from the morning
A sumptuous breakfast packed with Okinawan delicacies

The “Ma-san Breakfast,” named after the Okinawan dialect term “ma-san” (meaning “delicious”). True to its name, it features a wide array of delicacies that will get you in the travel mood first thing in the morning.

Highlights include “Yushi Tofu Miso Soup” made with locally sourced Tamana Miso, authentic Okinawa soba where you can choose between medium-thick curly noodles and flat noodles, and a seafood rice bowl you can assemble yourself! The menu also features dishes that make the most of island vegetables and locally sourced ingredients, making it a great choice for health-conscious diners.

In addition, the “freshly baked croissants”—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside—are also incredibly popular. The staff even bring the freshly baked croissants right to your table! Surrounded by the aroma of butter, my heart was filled with joy first thing in the morning.

“The interior, adorned with Bingata patterns, is beautiful—it’s a joy just to walk around,” "The combination of Nespresso and Yachimun cups is the best," and "Breakfast is so 'Ma-san' that I want to eat it every day!"—guest satisfaction is extremely high.
