rokkan COFFEE SHURI is located near Shuri Castle, along a street overlooking Ryutan Pond. The area is surrounded by the historical atmosphere of Shuri Castle and is conveniently located a few minutes' walk from the exit of Prefectural University of Arts.
The store's logo is based on the theme of "the sixth sense (rokkan)" and is inspired by the family crest of the Second Sho Family of the Ryukyu Dynasty. This sophisticated logo complements the simple and elegant appearance of the cafe.

Once you step into the restaurant, you will find a meticulously designed interior that evokes Ryukyuan culture. The counter is made of Ryukyu limestone.

Hachimuns line the walls, and Ryukyu tatami mats are used for benches. The space also has an Okinawan feel to it, and is finished with a combination of nostalgia and a modern sense.

I ordered black coffee (500 yen), latte (600 yen) and morning toast (350 yen). I sat on the Ryukyu tatami mats and relaxed.

The softly painted latte art is lovely and, combined with the texture of the yachimun, is comforting. The sweetness of the milk and the rich flavor of the espresso are a perfect match. It is a cup of deep flavor.
