It’s about a 10-minute drive from Naha Airport. Even though it’s so close, you can experience a sense of escapism, as if you’ve traveled overseas. Seeking that kind of experience, we headed to “STORYLINE Senaga Island.”
Located at the southern tip of Senaga Island, this hotel features a stunning infinity pool, a lounge with views of the airport, and incredibly stylish guest rooms—making even a one-night stay feel like a trip to “Okinawa’s Miami.”

The first thing that catches your eye
An exterior reminiscent of an overseas resort
Before checking in, the first thing that caught my eye was the sophisticated, white-themed building. From a distance, it looked like an apartment building, but the impression changed completely when viewed from the front. Surrounded by spacious grounds and tropical plants, it felt as if I had arrived at an overseas beach resort.
What made the biggest impression on me was the nighttime illumination. Warm-toned lights illuminated the buildings, enveloping the area in a magical atmosphere. Amid the tranquility of Senaga Island, this scene was so beautiful that I couldn’t help but take a photo.

And above all, the shisa with wings is just too cute♡
The feeling of escaping the everyday starts the moment you check in.
Stylish Lobby Area
The moment you step into the lobby, your excitement really builds. The high ceilings and large windows create a sense of openness, and the combination of natural wood textures and white is simply stylish. The entire space heightens the anticipation of moving into your new home!
The staff at the front desk greeted me with a smile and treated me very politely, which immediately put me at ease.
A Superior Room with an Adorably Cute Interior
This time, I stayed in a Superior Room. The moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the natural light wood interior and the sweeping ocean view. The floor was covered with sisal-style tiles, making it comfortable even to walk on barefoot. The white-toned furniture and decor had a refreshing and charming beach house vibe, making it perfect for a girls’ getaway.
From the window, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the blue ocean and the runways at Naha Airport, and relax while watching planes take off and land.
What made me even happier was that it came with a kitchenette. It was fully equipped with a microwave, toaster oven, plates, and cutlery, so I had no trouble preparing light meals.
I really like the bathroom, too ♡ They provide plenty of toiletries, so I didn't have any problems at all!
An Infinity Pool with a Stunning View Where the Sky Meets the Sea
The highlight of this hotel is, without a doubt, the rooftop infinity pool. When you step into the pool, your view stretches out to the endless blue sea and sky. To the left and right, you can see the runways of Naha Airport, where you can watch planes taking off. There’s also a hot spring!
During the day, you can soak up the resort atmosphere under blue skies and sunshine, and at night, it transforms into a night pool where you can enjoy the illuminated runway and the night view of downtown Naha. Since it’s open until 9:00 p.m., we recommend visiting from dusk through the evening.
The "Sky Room," where you can relax while enjoying a view of the runway
The rooftop also features the “Sky Room,” which is exclusive to hotel guests. This is another incredibly relaxing space. With a modern design inspired by an air traffic control tower, you can enjoy the airport view while sipping on complimentary soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
All-Day Dining: Enjoy It Morning and Night

The restaurant on the first floor is an “all-day dining” spot open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Breakfast is served in a unique style called the “Picnic Breakfast,” where you choose from three main dishes and pack your own salad, soup, and freshly baked muffins into a basket.
Another great thing is the freedom to eat wherever you like—in your room, on the terrace, or in the lounge. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast in the Sky Room while basking in the morning sun.
In the evening, they offer a course featuring creative Latin American cuisine made with Okinawan ingredients. We opted for the à la carte menu, and paired our meal with South American wines and mojitos—it was a truly satisfying dinner.

To be honest, I thought it might just be “a hotel that’s close to the airport,” but it completely exceeded my expectations—in the best possible way. Every facility is sophisticated in both design and comfort, allowing you to truly enjoy a sense of escape from everyday life.
