"rokkan COFFEE SHURI" is located right next to Shuri Castle, along a street overlooking Ryutan Pond. The surrounding area exudes the historic atmosphere of Shuri Castle, and it’s conveniently located just a few minutes’ walk from the exit of the Prefectural University of the Arts.
The shop’s logo is based on the theme of “Sixth Sense (rokkan)” and is inspired by the family crest of the Second Shō Dynasty of the Ryukyu Kingdom. This sophisticated logo complements the café’s simple and elegant exterior.

As soon as you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a carefully designed interior that evokes Ryukyuan culture. The counter is made of Ryukyuan limestone.

Yachimun pottery is displayed along the wall, and the benches are made of Ryukyu tatami mats. The space also features other elements that evoke the spirit of Okinawa, creating an atmosphere that blends a sense of nostalgia with modern style.

I ordered black coffee (500 yen), a latte (600 yen), and morning toast (350 yen). I sat on the Ryukyu-style tatami mats and relaxed.

The softly drawn latte art is adorable, and combined with the texture of the Yachimun pottery, it soothes the soul. The sweetness of the milk and the rich flavor of the espresso pair perfectly. It’s a truly flavorful cup.
