What’s more, the staff assists you with cooking for the first 30 minutes or so, so you can enjoy the experience while learning about the appeal of the ingredients and Okinawan culture.
Shabu-shabu that lets you enjoy Aguu pork and Okinawan ingredients in a simple way
At Mitsuhisa Honke, shabu-shabu is served without a dipping sauce; instead, it’s enjoyed with carefully selected condiments from Okinawa.

The Charm of Local Ingredients and Okinawan Culture, as Explained by Our Staff
Another feature is that the staff helps with the cooking during the first 30 minutes.

Traditional Okinawan Cuisine and Special Dessert Options
The appetizers served before the shabu-shabu include traditional Okinawan dishes such as “Jima-mi Tofu” and “Kūbu-iri-chi.”

A Special Dessert Loved by the Imperial Family
The dessert served after the meal is also a special treat you won't find anywhere else.

Served alongside the ice cream made with ingredients from Okinawa Prefecture is “Kippan Jahana’s Candied Winter Melon.” This is a luxurious dessert that, during the Ryukyu Kingdom era, was reserved exclusively for the imperial family, and even today, it remains a special treat that only one person in Okinawa knows how to make. Its sweet, crunchy texture pairs perfectly with the ice cream.
For dates, family gatherings, and dinners
The restaurant had table seating and sofa seating! Up to 14 people can enjoy shabu-shabu together.

Okibura Reviews

At Mitsuhisa Honke, you can fully savor Okinawan ingredients and learn about Okinawa, so I thought, "This shabu-shabu is like a tour!"
Since Aguu pork shabu-shabu is enjoyed without a dipping sauce—instead seasoned with salt, miso, or shikuwasa pepper—you can taste the natural flavor of the meat directly, making it a completely different experience from any shabu-shabu I’ve had before.
From rare island vegetables to Okinawa soba—a traditional meal to round out a meal that you can only find in Okinawa—and even desserts once enjoyed by the imperial family, everything here is unique to this place. With the staff’s commentary to guide us, we were able to savor the delicious food while learning about Okinawan food culture.
The restaurant also has private rooms that can accommodate large groups, making it the perfect spot for special meals with family and friends.
