What is the difference between "ocean view" and "oceanfront"?
"Ocean View" refers to any room where the ocean is visible from the guest room window or balcony. "Oceanfront" refers to premium rooms where the ocean stretches out directly in front of the building, with virtually nothing blocking the view, allowing guests to feel even closer to the ocean.
What does “partial ocean view” mean?
Due to the building’s structure and location, these are rooms where “you can see a small glimpse of the ocean from part of the room (or when stepping out onto the balcony).” While you won’t have a direct view of the ocean from the front of the room, the advantage is that these rooms are priced lower than those with a full ocean view.
How can I make sure to stay in a room with an ocean view?
When making a reservation, be sure to select a plan or room type that includes terms such as “Ocean View,” “Oceanfront,” or “Guaranteed Ocean View.” If you choose a plan labeled “No View Specified” or “Green View (Mountain/City View),” there is a high likelihood that your room will not have an ocean view.
Can you see the ocean clearly even from rooms on the lower floors?
It depends on the hotel’s distance from the ocean. If the hotel is right on the beach, even on the lower floors you can hear the sound of the waves up close and feel the ocean right beside you. Conversely, if the hotel is a little farther from the ocean, your view may be blocked by trees or buildings in the foreground, so if you want to enjoy a panoramic view, we recommend requesting a room on a higher floor.
