Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an official ranking?
No. These are poll results based on the real-life experiences of Okibura’s followers; they are not rankings released by official organizations or tourism associations. It is an unofficial ranking compiled from genuine user feedback.
How did you cast your vote?
We conducted a poll (multiple answers allowed) on Instagram Stories. The total number of votes exceeded 500, and the survey covered more than 100 facilities. The rankings are based on the criterion of “I’m glad I stayed there,” as determined by firsthand experiences.
What kind of people participate in the voting?
Participants include followers of the Okibura Instagram account (primarily Okinawa travel enthusiasts and repeat visitors). They cast their votes based on their actual stay experiences.
How do you decide on the genres?
While prioritizing the hotels with the highest number of votes, we’ve further categorized them based on amenities, location, room types, and other factors into categories such as “Families,” “Couples,” “Anniversaries,” “Girls’ Trips,” and “Best Value” (some categories may overlap).
Is it harder to make a reservation at restaurants that rank high on the list?
Popular hotels tend to fill up quickly during peak seasons (summer vacation, Golden Week, and the year-end and New Year holidays). We recommend booking 3 to 6 months in advance.
Does that mean you don't recommend hotels that aren't on the list?
No. It just hasn't received many votes yet; there are plenty of other great hotels out there. Please use this ranking only as a general guide.
Why do the same hotels appear multiple times in different price ranges and categories?
This is because a single hotel offers the versatility to accommodate a variety of situations. For example, Alivira receives high ratings across the board—for families, couples, and value for money. Conversely, if an accommodation is listed under only one category, you can assume it specializes in that area.
Will this ranking be updated?
We currently hold a vote once a year and plan to update the rankings annually to reflect the latest results. We’ll continue to share the genuine voices of our followers—no rigged votes, no stealth marketing.
What is the Okibura Exclusive Plan?
This is a special package created in collaboration between Okibura and the hotel. It may be offered with exclusive perks and prices for our followers. Details will be announced in advance on Instagram and other platforms.
Where can I book the limited-time plan?
You can make reservations on each hotel’s official website. Since reservations are not available on the Okibura website, please use the links on this page to go to the official reservation pages.
Please tell me the price and details of the limited-time plan.
For details on plan prices, services, and accommodation terms, please check the reservation page for each hotel. Okibura is unable to provide this information.
When will the limited-time plan be announced?
As soon as the plans are finalized, we’ll announce them in advance on Okibura’s Instagram and official website. We cannot provide details about planned events or initiatives currently in the works until they’ve been officially announced. Follow Okibura on Instagram to stay up to date on the latest information.
