These original artworks depict clownfish, which are the conservation target of the "Seragaki Island Clownfish Conservation Project," which started in June 2021 under the supervision of the Marine Climate Change Unit of the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), as well as Seragaki, which has the best sunset in Onna Village, one of the most famous beach resorts in Japan. Artist's Profile]
Born in Unten, Nakijin Village, Okinawa. Studied art in Fukuoka during college, then lived outside Okinawa for several years. After returning to Okinawa, he worked at various jobs while painting as a hobby for more than 10 years. 2007, he decided to devote himself to painting, deciding to "paint mainly Okinawan things." In 2020, he was offered a job as a part-time art teacher at Kitayama High School, his alma mater, and he continues to work in that capacity while creating his art. His past experiences and his deep love for the nature and culture of Okinawa give his work a unique appeal.
