Nakijin Soba, which reopened in March 2025, is a popular soba restaurant located in Nakijin Village, surrounded by the nature of Yanbaru in the northern part of Okinawa's main island. After passing through the entrance lined with fukugi trees, you will see a 70-year-old Ryukyuan traditional house. You can enjoy Okinawa soba noodles with elegant soup in a nostalgic space where the sound of wind chimes resonates comfortably. The soba served on the newly built terrace is exceptional while feeling the breeze of Yanbaru. You can also enjoy a luxurious time with a set of jusshi and homemade brown sugar pudding.

Ryukyuan traditional house at the end of a path surrounded by fukugi trees
Nakijin Soba is a tasteful 70-year-old Ryukyuan traditional house that appears as you walk down a path lined with fukugi trees and surrounded by greenery. The tiled roof and the warmth of the wood create a relaxed atmosphere as if time has stopped.
Inside the restaurant, Showa-era retro fans and wind chimes are arranged to relax you, making you feel "like you've come to grandma's house.
In addition, the terrace seating, which was created in the 2025 renovation, is a special place with a sense of openness where a comfortable breeze blows through. On a clear day, you can enjoy a leisurely meal while feeling the nature of Hanbaru.
Elegant Okinawan soba noodles with agu pork and bonito broth
Nakijin Soba features "Agu pork and bonito broth" and homemade noodles. I felt the soup was rather strong from the pork bone. However, it is not that pork bone-heavy, so it is easy to eat even for beginners. The noodles are aged for 48 hours. The noodles are smooth and go well with the soup!

The restaurant has been very popular since before it reopened! When we went there at 11:00 a.m., the opening time, there were already many cars parked and the tatami rooms were almost completely occupied.
